Making a Difference

At MHS Art Department, students receive so much more than an ordinary education. We pride ourselves on creating a unique, exciting environment that embraces all types of learners and promotes growth both artistically and personally. Students are welcomed into a positive learning environment and encouraged to grow personally to reach their highest level of accomplishment.  

In the art room at MHS students are encouraged to find their creativity and expand on their ideas.  They are pushed to step out of the box and think visually.  Personal  expression and growth are always pushed along side artistic technique and appreciation.

Artists of all levels are encouraged to go farther than the classroom.  We offer an art club for grades 7-12 as well as opportunities to enter contests, become published artists and participate in after school programs.  Students interested in art as a career will create a portfolio for college.  The possibilities are endless!
